so i will admit, still pretty awful at the whole blog thing...but i'm working on it!!
i do have a story worth sharing though....
after many years of whining complaining and not really getting anywhere, i officially decided to get a personal trainer to reach my happy healthy fitness goals. while i at first found 'trainer m' slightly psychotic when he placed my goal weight at 115 (i'm sorry am i 17??) after a little convincing i think it's doable. granted i probably would have said yes-yes to anything he told me because as i soon found out.... my trainer is yeah-yeah from the sandlot!!!!
if that doesn't inspire you to get a tight butt, i don't know what will

promises promises....
So, exactly one month and three weeks to the day I promised I would for real start a blog, I am officially writing my second post...where to begin??
My life has been an absolute whrilwind since arriving in sunny California. From signing a lease on an aparment I'd first seen 5 seconds earlier, having a flooded storage unit, locking my keys in my car, having my power accidentally turned off, to unknowingly transferring ants from my car to my apartment...I think I've had my fair share of adventures for the next year!
However, I absolutely love where I live. Studio City is one of the few places in LA where the neighborhood is truly walkable; Trader Joe's, Barnes & Noble, Starbucks, etc are all within 5 blocks of me, so I can at least pretend to still have a little Chi town with me :) Also, I have already become great friends with everyone who works in my building as they have been there with me through all of my early on disasters and have done nothing but make me feel welcome in my new home. There is literally only one piece of furniture in my place right now, a bed, but I guess that's what makes moving somewhere new so fun - turning your house into a home!
It's still a little surreal to me that I really do work for Disney. I kept having to pinch myself during orientation to believe it was true, especially as we were getting a tour of the Studio lot where so many magical Disney moments happened...and are still happening today! They brought me in at a pretty busy time of the year, so I've quickly become accustomed to the 8am-6pm workday; but I get along great with my team so the days still fly by. One of these days I'll make it over the the art room to pick out the Disney art I want hung in my office, but until then my little Minnie sits with me nodding her head reassuringly (or due to the rattling A/C above my head) that moving out here was the right thing to do.
My mom got in town last night so I'm sure there will be lots more fun stories to share...and hopefully I'll become better at sharing them!!
p to the s - i miss my lisa and liz everyday!!
